I have stopped buying all the Bride Magazines and have instead stayed with getting ideas from other blogger sites. However, I did pick up the InStyle Weddings Fall issue. I loved it because they actually did a huge section on "The Best Wedding Web Sites from A to Z." I wish I could find the article online to post, but instead I will just hit a couple of them here - for A - Accessories - they recommended www.myglassslipper.com. They have shoes (really good shoes) for 15 bucks. Seriously! Ok...headache is still here...enough blogging for the day, but I will add some more websites later...

Blog Away
It was a gorgeous day here in Chi-town. I went for a run and then ended up spending the day searching the web....and now I have a headache. But I have become addicted searching blogs right now. I have gotten so many cool ideas from them and I just love that they are in the same boat - planning a wedding and talking about it!

SATC!
Is it bad that I might push back when we go on our honeymoon, because the Sex and the City Movie comes out on May 30, 2008 - right when we are in Europe? Seriously...I have been waiting and waiting for this movie and of course had already planned taking a day off and going with my girlfriends to see it! I guess I can only hope that the movie is released later?

Oww...
I am still looking for the bridesmaids dresses. I found a couple last week but still don't know if it is what I want! I am a little hesitant because my sister was a little concerned over tea-length and is wanting full-length...so I guess the search continues...

Iconic Brides
My wedding dress is very 1960s and I have been getting a lot ideas from that decade. Something I came across from on Bridalwave.com - the iconic brides list. I wonder if there is a book of iconic brides, because I would buy it in a heartbeat...Check it out -http://www.bridalwave.tv/iconic_brides/

Pics and More
After about a month of phone calls back and forth. I have officially signed on with my photographer. YEAH! I spent more than I wanted but so happy with their work and they have been wonderfully nice! So this weekend, my sister is coming in and hopefully we will find the bridesmaids dresses. THEN - it will be really only just invitations and figuring out flower arrangements. I am enjoying this. Maybe because I think my wedding is going to be fun. I have not stressed too much just yet, except over the budget. What was I thinking? I know I could have a cheaper wedding, but I always love the higher end stuff. That is what kills you...

Oops...
So I think I totally got wrong information. I was told after hours of searching for my dress back in July, that my dress designer was the same one of the Nixon daughters. But then check out this - Tricia Nixon's dress was designed by the Priscilla of Boston. Huh, what? I was told specifically my by girl at the dress shop that he designed it! I think I was fooled, but I might need to do a little more research on this...UPDATE! I found this on a site - Luci Baines Johnson, the daughter of President Lyndon B. Johnson, and Julie and Tricia Nixon, the daughters of President Richard M. Nixon, wore Priscilla dresses for their weddings.

Brooklyn, baby!
I hate saying it but as you become more and more engrossed in wedding planning, you start checking out every other site. One of my favorites - http://www.bklynbride.blogspot.com/. This is what I would do for all Chicago brides - if I actually had time. So I have been on this site every day and came across this - our photographer and she was raving about how great they were. This was from his own wedding. I am in love! http://bklynbride.blogspot.com/2007/09/sota-dzine-jeremy-hayley_04.html. We still need to sign the contract - but I think this just got me to do it!

What about the dog?
So my soon-to-be husband has a prized pet - his golden retriever. We actually bought her together when we were first dating. Of course, she is the best dog ever. She wasn't always this way - I believe golden retrievers go through terrible twos...just like humans! Recently, he asked if the dog was going to be part of the ceremony. I laughed, but then came across this photo today. What a cute pug!
