My My Meyer's

So a little history on how I picked my ceremony and reception place. I had driven by it everytime I headed home to Ohio on route 30. I decided back when I got engaged this was going to be one of the places that I looked in to. So I went and immediately fell in love with it. At first I was a little concerned over the price, but ended up because I am getting married on a Sunday, that decreased the price. It was built between 1929 and 1931 by Joseph E. Meyer, who had it designed after a scottish castle. Meyer lived in the castle until his death in 1950. It was bought by a couple about 10 years ago and now has become a great wedding reception site.

I am getting married on the back patio of the castle, so today I have spent the majority of the day looking at what I could do. Here are some pictures I took the last time we were there. There is definitely a lot we can do here for the ceremony, but I also am a big fan of going simple, but the building is so beautiful all by itself. I will next time show our reception area in the castle!

Meyer's Castle

We went over to Meyer's Castle today to make a nice big payment. (I guess there is no backing out now). There was a wedding going on and I was totally underdressed, so I couldn't take too many photos. But this one was from the back of Meyer's. I uploaded a couple more photos on photobucket.
