Lovin My Molcajete

I will be honest - I barely remember doing our Crate and Barrel registry because I unfortunately, did one of their registry parties and drank a little too much. It was not until the next morning when one of my co-workers joked that I must have really liked vases (because I had registered for about 10 vases) that I realized my registry did not really make sense to a sober person. Oops...however, I am thrilled that I registered for this sucker - a Molcajete. I actually used it for the first time on Monday to make guacamole! Well, I used this recipe and it was awesome! This is a must for your mexican dinner nights!

Crate and Barrel

I went to Crate and Barrel's registry party tonight! Seriously, I had the best time (the free alcohol helped) and actually learned a lot. They close the store down and then had a ton of sales assistants around to answer any of your questions (how many wine glasses should I get?, etc.). I was extremely impressed. Did anyone else go? If you can get to one of their registry parties - I would do it.

One interesting sidenote - I ended up spending part of the night talking to one of the ladies that was an editor on the Real Simple Wedding Magazine. I didn't want to tell her that some of the reviews I saw on other blogs were not favorable towards this new mag...she definitely felt their magazine had it all - inspiration, planning, etc. for all new brides. I buckled and bought one as I was leaving the store - so we will see...
