So the blogs have been great, but how about this? The Wedding Podcast Network offers free interviews with wedding magazine editors and other bridal insiders. We are getting married on Memorial Day weekend. It is funny how folks will tell you exactly how you feel but do it behind your back. I knew we might have some complaints, but it was the one weekend that I could totally save a huge amount of money on our reception place if we got married on a Sunday. So I thought genius - we will get married on Memorial Day weekend. Folks can see it as a mini-vacation to Chicago!

Well...people were receptive and then unfortunately, some have changed their minds. It started with some family members rumbling over it and then I recently have gotten it from a couple friends. I usually make a quick decision and stick with it, but I did fret over this one. I felt bad and what was nice was the BF did say - screw it. If people want to come to the wedding great. If they don't great too. So today, I ran went to someecards for another reason and saw this - I had to laugh.

Round menus

Ok...so invitations, bridesmaids dresses have to be done at some point in the next month. BUT I found these and am thinking I might do these for the menus. I love it and they were created by a designer here just outside of Chicago. http://www.jklcreations.com/menus.aspx

InStyle Wedding Magazines

I have stopped buying all the Bride Magazines and have instead stayed with getting ideas from other blogger sites. However, I did pick up the InStyle Weddings Fall issue. I loved it because they actually did a huge section on "The Best Wedding Web Sites from A to Z." I wish I could find the article online to post, but instead I will just hit a couple of them here - for A - Accessories - they recommended www.myglassslipper.com. They have shoes (really good shoes) for 15 bucks. Seriously! Ok...headache is still here...enough blogging for the day, but I will add some more websites later...

It was a gorgeous day here in Chi-town. I went for a run and then ended up spending the day searching the web....and now I have a headache. But I have become addicted searching blogs right now. I have gotten so many cool ideas from them and I just love that they are in the same boat - planning a wedding and talking about it!

Is it bad that I might push back when we go on our honeymoon, because the Sex and the City Movie comes out on May 30, 2008 - right when we are in Europe? Seriously...I have been waiting and waiting for this movie and of course had already planned taking a day off and going with my girlfriends to see it! I guess I can only hope that the movie is released later?

I am still looking for the bridesmaids dresses. I found a couple last week but still don't know if it is what I want! I am a little hesitant because my sister was a little concerned over tea-length and is wanting full-length...so I guess the search continues...
