(StudioThisIs)So my sister stalks our photographer. I got an email from her late last night, informing me that they had just posted four new weddings up in their featured section. So I of course looked this morning and I know, I know - everyone says they love their photographers - but I really do love them. As it is getting closer and closer to our wedding day, I get even more giddy with excitement to see their work on our big day!
Yikes, it is almost March! I remember a long time ago saying that in January I would do all my DIY projects - one being the welcome bags. Unfortunately, that did not happen and it is looking like it will not happen this month either. However, I did see this today and thought how perfect would this be - bagable gifts based right here in Chicago. They create your welcome bag with everything you need and even deliver it to your hotel guests. This might be a worse case scenario, but if I delay any longer, I may be giving them a call!
Last week, I got the opportunity of meeting several of the Chicago bloggers and we did a sit-down interview with Smart Bride TV. Here is the clip. Thank you Ray, Wendy, Kelly, Misse and Amy (Tara - I was so mad you had to leave early but so fun meeting you). I had the best time just chitchatting with everyone! I believe there will be more segments, but this was the first one. Enjoy!
I saw this post from Miss Hydrangea at weddingbee and realized I was going to post something about this and completely forgot. I said a long time ago that I stopped buying magazines, but my wedding planner had actually given me a copy of Chicago Social Brides. I fell in love with it. Just an absolutely gorgeous magazine. Chicago Brides - You can submit to get a free copy here. I love it because they had some stunning real wedding shots in there, but was bummed because I had hoped they had some of these great pictures on their website (so I could of course post on this blog!). No such luck.
The invitations project - done! Check it off the list. We ended up printing out everything yesterday and then had them cut professionally (worth every penny!)
So here is the vent. I loved the idea of having RSVP postcards - from the beginning that was a must for my invitations. However, I have come to realize after visiting two local post offices and the U.S. Post Office website that there is no variety for postcard stamps. The only one is this lovely Florida Panther. Are you kidding me? So I need to make a decision on vintage stamps or making my own stamps (which would cost a little bit). My fiance thought I was crazy making such a fuss over a stamp. But seriously - a panther? That is it?!!
Ok....several things - I am tired of wedding planning. There I said it. It might be the snow, the cold weather or something, but I have hit a wall with making decisions. I hope I get my wedding love back...and soon.Something that might get me out of this funk - this website. Thank you to Jaime for this wonderful website. She created it for her sister's upcoming wedding and seriously - these are my colors. I have gotten so much inspiration from this site! Thank you!
