I have no idea what normal wedding invitations cost.... but the people who make my business cards also do greeting cards that you can customize yourself.. might work out for a wedding invitation as well.

These are cute and only $80 for the PDF file. You could print them yourself or bring the file to a print shop. Also paper stores sometimes do custom inivtes in house that can be cheaper than ordering from a big company!
