Even though it has been done before and is really not new - I loved doing the wine cork escort cards because of our venue. I thought this would be a pretty easy project. Yes a little time consuming, but definitely something I could do. I picked up a mini knife cutter and then drank a couple glasses of different wine last night to add to my collection of corks. I had found directions where you cut 1/4 of the cork so it will lay down (and not roll) and then make another slice where you put the escort card. Ok so here comes the part where I would not make a DIY Bride. On the first cork, I sliced my thumb...badly. So badly that I bled all over the place. Despite all the blood, I kept working and made about five. They look good, but unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of my project because of this new friend. Tuesday, April 15, 2008
